This alert gives notice to all residents of the Village of East Hazel Crest that an increase in Motor Vehicle Thefts is taking place in our community and all surrounding communities.

What you can do:

Always be aware of your surroundings

Report suspicious activity immediately

Never leave a vehicle running while unattended

Never leave the vehicle keys in an unattended vehicle

Pay attention to any suspicious subjects loitering in the area

If you do see a crime being committed, call 911 immediately

Provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including any

vehicle description and license plate information
