Branch Pickup

The Village will pick up branches the first Monday of each month, beginning in May and ending in November.  If a holiday falls on the first Monday, then the Village will pick up on the following day.  The route taken for branch pickup starts on the west side of town and moves eastward.

Branches must be bundled and branches should be no longer than 10 feet in length and no more than 6 inches in diameter (10x6).  The 6 inch diameter also applies to logs.  If the branches do not meet the requirement, they will not be picked up.  The department does not pick up bushes, evergreens, pine trees, grass clippings and leaves.

If you experience a lightning hit on your tree that knocks down a branch or if winds exceed 35 miles per hour, the Village will make a trip through the town after the storm and the branch pick up policy will be enforced.  If you have a contractor trim or cut down your tree, then they are responsible for the branch removal.

Weekly branch/yard waste pickup is done by Homewood Disposal.
