On May 28, 2003, the village received an IACT award for 2002. The village
was nominated based on theft prevention in the commuter parking lots. The upgrades
to the lots over the past several years including new lighting and addition of an
Community Service Officer has made a significant impact on auto thefts and other
incidents in all of the parking lots.
